Virginia’s Common Meeting voted Friday to legalize marijuana within the state, with a plan in place to open dispensaries starting in 2024.

The Democrat-controlled Virginia Senator and Home of Delegates each overwhelmingly voted in favor of the measure that would legalize easy possession of marijuana within the state as quickly as this summer season; weed was beforehand decriminalized within the state in July 2020.
